Fog Lamp bulb replacement

My 2009 Touring has 23K on it. The left side fog lamp bulb needs replaced.
I can get to it but not sure if it turns out or if there is a release for the bulb.
The harness unplugs ok but can't see how the bulb comes out. Any thoughts.
thanks

would it not be under warranty and if so just get the dealer to do it

Light bulbs are wear items and not covered under the warranty.

Your owners manual has instructions on pages 7-53 thru 7-55. This should also help:

1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.Remove the front side cover screw.
3.Remove the front fog lamp assembly connector (A).

4.Remove the front fog lamp bulb (A) turning in the counter clock-wise direction.

Don't touch the glass part of the new bulb with your fingers. The oil from your skin will cause it to burn out sooner if you do.

Thanks for the info

It came out. I had to use water pump pliers. It turned very hard. I came in from the under side. I do know not to touch the bulb. Did not disconnect the neg. Hope thats not a problem. Will buy a new bulb tomorrow and check it out.
Thanks for the info. Where did you find the diagram?

I wouldn't worry about the negative battery cable. They always say to do it but most of the time it's not needed. The diagram and instructions for from Hyundais service website: http://www.hmaservice.com
You have to register but it's free.

Thanks for the info on how hard this lamp is to turn. I had the same issue on my 2005 Elantra GT fog lamp (9006). There was no info on replacing the fog lamp in the owners manual. I had the headlight assembly out anyway to replace the H7, so it made it real easy to get at the fog lamp from the top. Took all the strength I had to turn it. Getting the new one in was just as hard.

I have to replace the fog lamp on 2010 ET. Where is the front side cover screw? Do I need to get underneath the car?

Thanks!

To answer my own question and for the benefit of other forum readers, yes this needs to be done from below.

1. Elevate front of the car and secure the vehicle.
2. The side cover is the plastic sheeting that runs around the wheel well and forms a horizontal panel that encloses the front corners under the bumper. Remove the three fasteners and the side cover can be pushed out of the way.
