Hyundai Elantra Touring / i30 Parts
Hello!
I currently live in the Benelux in Europe, and I have my 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring with me. The car has almost 190,000 miles and has been great for the past 13+ years; however, my mechanic recently told me that I need new rear brake calipers for both the left (driver) and right (passenger) sides. Unfortunately, none of the local Hyundai service centers seem to be able to order the parts, since they are US part numbers and are only available in the United States. I've had two mechanics tell me my best option is to buy the parts in the US and have them shipped to my address (or to a service center directly) in Europe.
My understanding is that the Elantra Touring is the same car as the i30 CW, with the i30 CW being the European name -- they look identical from the outside. Can anyone confirm this? Is it possible then to order the rear calipers for the i30 CW and use those to replace the calipers on my Elantra Touring? Based on what I can find, the caliper kit I was told to order (58310-2LA00 Genuine Hyundai Caliper Kit-Rear Brake,LH (hyundaipartsdeal.com)) seems like it has a lot more components and is significantly more expensive than the equivalent i30 CW caliper (78B0146 RIDEX Brake Caliper Cast Iron, Rear Axle, Rear Axle Left ▷ AUTODOC price and review). What's the most efficient way to proceed here?
I realize this is a shot in the dark, and this is my first time posting here, but any insights you all can provide would be much appreciated!
