No warning for low wiper fluid?

Should there be a warning light when my wiper fluid is low? The other day it just ran out, luckily the weather wasn't so bad so I could get by until I got home. My old car would warn me well in advance if the fluid was getting low, so I was surprised that there were no lights. Do I have a defect here, or does this feature not exist?

What car (i30 or Touring) and what model (base GL, GLS, SE, etc)?

The owners manual for the Touring says "If Equipped". So if you have a lower level model, it's probably no equipped.

Ah I see. I have the GL model.

Surprised that something like that isn't standard on all cars actually, it isn't something that I ever really thought about as an "extra"

My 2004 Tiburon V6 GT had it but my 2006 Tucson GLS V6 does not. I don't believe it wasn't even an option on any Tucson, including the Limited model.
