Rear Spoiler Installation

I have noticed a couple of websites that have the rear spoilers for the Touring. It seems that you can order them color coded for your vehicle. I was trying to find how these spoilers mount to the vehicle? I called one place and they could not tell me. Has anyone bought one of these and can you tell me how it mounts. Thanks Bobby

I installed mine. The spoiler has body tape to hold it on but you will have to drill 2 holes to help secure it to the car.

The spoiler I bought had a great template to mark the holes. The hardest part was realizing I was drilling into a brand new car. Didn't want to make a mistake. Also, if you do it yourself, the body tape sticks real fast, it would have been helpful to have another person to hold it up and slowly lower it on the car.

Took me all of about 45 minutes to install but it does look nice when done.

Hope this helps.

Tub the spoiler looks awesome. Did they screw yours on or did they just use the 3m tape to hold it in place. You said you had it done at the dealer, if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost you. It really sets the rear of the car off!!

is both 3m tape and 2 screw he come paint at the factory and cost me 325$ (cdn) + labor (15min)

Ditto. The OEM spoiler on my Tucson was factory painted the correct color and used 3M tape, 2 studs (on the ends) and 2 screws (in the middle) to mount. Mine was less than $200 from ebay and I installed it myself in less than an hour.

To all those that had mounted after market spoilers to the Tourings; any problems, regrets, or afterthoughts that you would care to share? I'm thinking of getting one but want to hear the pros and cons from experienced installers first. Thanks

Still love the one on my Tucson. No regrets.
