Replacement of Auto. Trans. Oil Question

I am ready to replace the auto. trans. oil on my wifes 10 ET that has 30K miles on it.

I looked up the procedure on Hmaservice.com (the hyundai shop manual for the 10 ET).

I want to drain the converter and trans. completely before putting in the new synthetic auto. trans. oil.

The shop manual procedure says: "If you do not have a fluid changer, then disconnect the HOSE which connects the trans. and the oil cooler (inside the radiator)".
Start the engine and left the fluid drain out. The engine should be stopped with one minute after it is started, or if the fluid has all drained out before then, the engine should be stopped.

There are two hoses going from the trans. to the radiator.
The manual does not specify which hose on the radiator - the top hose or the bottom hose.

Has anyone done this procedure to know what hose I need to disconnect ??

Thank you in advance !

I like to do my own work also, but I am going to have a BG transmission oil change.
They have special equipment to get all the oil out and give an additional warranty.

If you run the car from cold, one of the lines will start to feel warmer than the other. This is the line going to the cooler. I'd watch what fluid to put in because of warranty issues.

Omnitech,

Thanks, for the comment. I was planning on putting in Wolfs Head which meets Hyundai SP3 specification.

The correct hose to remove is the bottom hose.
The Auto. Trans. takes 6 quarts for this procedure.
