wheel torque question

book says wheel nuts torque is 65 to 79lbs...Is there an optimum? This is the first car that I have had that I can remember that there is a range for the wheel torque.

update

called 4 hyundai service departments for their recommendations. two said they torque the nuts to 80lb ft, one said 100 and the last said he would do 72 since that is the middle of the range. The 80 makes sense since the manual says 65 to 79 and so does the 72 but the 100 seems way off.

I always do 75 but as long as it's in the 65-79 range, it's not a problem.

Why do 80? 80 is not in the recommended range of 65-79.
