Brake light switch 07 Entourage

The brake lights turn on by themselves. I understand there may be a recall on the switch, but i don't want to deal with my local dealer.

Can anyone tell me how to find the switch? I can barely fit under the dash and don't see anything that looks like the switch that I have seen pictures of.

If there is a open recall let the dealer do the job.! It's a real pain to replace. No room to work with. Just call and give dealer your full vin and see if the campaign needs to be done. Recalls are free and no charge to you.

I just replaced mine on my 2008 Entourage. I have the adjustable height pedals so there's extra junk under there. I had to do a partial disassembly of the dash to get at it. Then I had to break apart the old switch to get it out. The new one is smaller but still difficult to get back in. Eventually, I got it in. I bought a new factory switch to replace the old one.

I took it to the dealer to do the recall but the problem was worse when I got the vehicle back. Eventually, I got around to fixing it myself.
