Hi Kevin,
Just wanted to check, are we talking about a Cam or Crank sensor? |
I put a new cam shaft sensor in and it still acted just like before nothing changed,my next thing to do change the connector on the camshaft sensor which is broken but checks out with the meter, then it's timing belt, balancing belt, water pump, and crankshaft sensor

Any codes?
|
Places like Autozone will check your vehicle for codes usually free of charge.
I think allegretto made a wise suggestion to check for any codes before spending a lot of $$$ replacing good parts. After the first stall and you restart it , does it run OK for the rest of the trip? Could you please clarify, check out ok , but not when running? Does that mean you did not check it when running or when running you get no response? |
p0340 is that code that keeps coming up

A little side note,
I have had one instance where everything checked out good /ok and the fix was to replace the darn alternator. |
That's the list of possible causes by engine-codes.com:
I hadn't thought of starter motor or starting system circuit. I was aware that a wonky alternator can throw the computer out of whack. Poor electrical connection includes ground connections. I bet you have cleaned the battery terminals really well already. Keep in mind if corrosion advances into the cables under the insulation it can cause voltage drops. |
alternator is charging had up to 14.09 volts before it died,I've checked the ground and power to the camshaft sensor
