Default Fried alternator. Bummer.

So, long story short, the alternator on my 2004 Getz 1.6 (G4AE) is fried and I need to replace it.
I've found a wrecked 2007 Getz 1.4 (G4EE) that I can hopefully get the alternator of, but will work on my 1.6?

Looking at spares on retailers websites they seem to share parts numbers, on the ones I've found so far, which makes me think that they are interchangeable. Am I right? Would be nice to know before I get my hands dirty on the wreck.

Thanks in advance for any help

I don't see why they wouldn't interchange. The car requires the same electrical output regardless of engine.
