I have my Hyundai Getz 2004, and I can hear a 'hissing' noise from what seemed like the back left tyre. It was not always, but sometimes.

It was ok on the straight roads. performance of the car is as expected but problem intermittently persists. its either a short burst of air escaping like a 'hissing' or now it sounds a bit like abrasion. not screeching like metal on metal but something touching something else?

someone tells me what caused this?

 

at a guess ? your brake shoe rubbing on drum slightly.. that may cause a hissing sound..
