Hi to all :). I have just got a 2004 Hyundia Matrix GSi 1600cc. Nice car, drives well. What are its potential bad points and pit falls other than the central locking being busted!

well I have the 2006 1.6 manual, for me the pits was replacing the AC clutch as well as the mounts (rubbers holding shocks) and cleaning of the throttle body (only needed in emergency if its dirty). replacing the TPS was a royal pain in the butt as the sensor for my vehicle was behind the throttle body and not in front like other hyundai. We stay in a town on the border of Mozambique so its a lot more dusty than a usual suburb.

my mileage is 207 776km. I wonder if you can fit smaller wheel sizes on the matrix ? say instead 15 inch, put 14 on ?

other than that, no problems. car does drive well ! all of the other parts are still original. (other than mounts and belts and ac clutch)

I get between 7-8L per 100km by keeping the revs just around 2k. if you race it, you gonna use more.
