how to replace the oil filter

Hi guys

Do you happen to know where is the oil filter on this engine : Hyundai Matrix 1.5 liter diesel Manual Transmission 2004 ?
Thanks !

Without looking at it , no.
Since you are going to replace it, you have some idea what it looks like ,since you must have the replacement. That should give you some idea of where it could be.

I thought the oil filter was a cartridge type.
And it should be next to the oil dip stick on top
The top of the oil filter housing has a bolt that needs to be removed before the cap and filter can come off together.
The center stem is then manipulated to release the filter from the cap.
Now please don't quote me. It is just what I remember about that oil filter.
I could be wrong.

Ok I found the oil filter. It is located on the passenger's side, directly below the windshield behind the engine, it's not very easy to access. You can see it clearly on the right of this picture.

I discovered that it is leaking so I have to replace the whole part, not just the paper filter that I bought.
Seems hard to access this.
What is the size of the oil filter wrench to unscrew the cap ?
As it's leaking, do you know the full procedure to completely change the full oil filter ?

Thanks
