02,2.4 quit on freeway
 
My daughters 02,santa fe2.4 just stoped running on the freeway.The wrecker guy replaced the cam sensor and still will not run,said it may be crank sensor.Fuel ok,no spark.Belt replaced at 60,000 and now has 105.
whatsup and where do I go from here,thanks tobo57

Crankshaft position sensor is a common one that will go out and make the engine not run; they should be able to check it before replacing it though.

I found the problem.The counter balence belt broke and tore up sensor.Timing belt replaced at 60,000,I'm thinking the small belt should have been replaced at that time by dealer and lasted till the 120,000 mile service.So at 105,000 I had both belts and water pump and crank sensor replaced.
