2001 won't start
My '01 4WD Hyundai Santa Fe suddenly died while I was driving at 55 mph. There was a loud pop sound, then the car died. The pop made me first think something was wrong with a tire.
It would turn over and all the lights were on, but it would not start. I had to have it towed home. I have checked the fuses and the fuel pump is working. It seems like it isn't getting gas. I checked the timing belt and it is okay. What could be wrong? |
How many miles on the car? What engine? When was the timing belt last changed? When you say you checked the timing belt, how did you verify it was okay?

There are two belts, the accessory belt you see and a timing belt hidden with the water pump, under the accessory belt, behind the cover you see.
