2003.5 Santa Fe keyless entry FOB programming.

Hello,

I am having a problem programming my new FOB. I ordered one through ebay thinking that it would be a breeze, as conveyed at santafemods, but its not.

I followed those instructions as well as various others out there. I tried it through every click of the key (off - in between - acc - on) and I've tried holding different button combinations down, etc. Still, my new FOB is not programmed.

It was also said out there that if I switch the switch to the SET position, it erases the old programs, yet my old FOB still works, it is almost as if the Off/Set switch is a dummy switch to aggravate people.

I have a 2003.5 Santa Fe. The reason I say .5 is because it's a 03, but I have a lot of the features that weren't implemented until the 2004 model. I frequently find things that are different from traditional 03's.

My assumption is since they removed the Off/Set from the 04's, maybe mine does nothing or was disabled.

Anyhow, any ideas of other things to try? Is there another programming sequence that I should follow?

I don't know if this matters either, but, the new FOB's model name is: OKA-240T

Thanks

You need to go to the dealer. They use a special scanner to program new fobs. make sure to bring all fobs you need programmed because it does not add fobs. It clears all old programming.
