2004 clock works intermittently

Have 2004 Santa Fe. When I start the car, the clock comes on, but then goes dark after a few minutes. Clock is not keeping time so looks like there is a power problem. Fuses are good and only the clock isintermittent, no other electrical problems. ANy ideas?

thanks!!

It sounds like the problem is with theclock itself. It may just need replacement.

RE: 2004 clock works intermittently

I called my local Hyundai dealer (Leesburg Virginia) and asked what it would cost to replace the clock. Guy said that he could set up an appt but could not give me a price or even estimateover the phone. This was disappointing....seems like with sales down, any opportunity to geta car in for service needs to result in a bill of at least 2-400 bucks....I am hesitant to use the dealer anymore for any service.

How many miles are on the car? The clock should be covered under the 5y/60K mile bumper to bumper warranty.

Bummer. Try to find a used one on eBay.
