Default 2004 Sante Fe window fuse keeps blowing

I have a 2004 Sante Fe that has been a great work horse for me. i have owned the vehicle for 14 years and has been a great vehicle but it is getting up in years. yesterday i blew a fuse (30A) for my power windows and locks leaving me with no way of rolling up my window. I live in North Dakota and this is a problem in February. Replaced the fuse and worked for a few hours. blew the fuse again this morning. tried a 40A fuse and it blew that one too. looking for some trouble shooting help to see if it is the master switch or other wiring problems.

Hi Don,
Some addl info if possible.
Does the fuse blow when any of the locks or windows are activated?
If you have the owner's manual, in there it should show what the fuses and relays protect and their location.
Do you know if only the window or only the door lock operation causes the fuse to blow? Maybe we can confine our efforts to only one of those areas.

Does the fuse blow when any of the locks or windows are activated? Unknown, it blew when i was in the car but since i don't always use the windows and locks, i don't know if it was the locks or the windows. it worked and then it didn't.
If you have the owner's manual, in there it should show what the fuses and relays protect and their location. couldn't locate the schematics in the owners manual.
Do you know if only the window or only the door lock operation causes the fuse to blow? Maybe we can confine our efforts to only one of those areas. it is the window fuse that blows and i don't know if the locks are on the same fuse but i assumed they are since they don't work at the same time

This is what I would do.
install a new fuse, operate only the door locks ,many times .If there is a problem with the locks that should make the fuse blow.
If after 10 or 20 times it should get hot enough to blow the fuse if the problem is with the door locking system.
If it doesn't blow from that exercise, wait a while for the circuit to cool down. Then do the same thing with the window. It is either going to blow the fuse or keep working .
I don't know of any other way to stress the system to cause the fuse to blow. One of those systems should cause the fuse to blow. Last ,but not least, if it blows when you did nothing ,that helps narrow it down to the fuse panel area.
Most of the time in an owner's manual , in the specifications or roadside emergencies section, it will list what is on the circuit for each individual fuse and it could be a third part we are not aware is on that circuit.

I replaced the fuse. ran the locks a few times. my lock button does not work but hasn't for a few months. unlock does work as does the manual locking of all doors from passenger side. i tried to stress it with the windows and those all worked except the back passenger window, also hasn't worked in a few months. not concerned with that window going down, we never use that window, couldn't get it to blow. will wait a little while and try again. i have one new fuse in and two additional ones to troubleshoot.

Ideas??
