2007 Sante Fe 2.7L AWD Humming noise

I have been noticing a humming/vibration noise coming from my sante fe. I only makes the noise when the engine revs above 2,000 rpms and it does the noise again as the engine revs back down below 2,000 rpms. Usually when it revs back down below 2,000 rpms the noise seems to sound a little bit louder.

The noise is not a rattle sound, but more along the lines of a vibration/humming sound and only lasts for about a few seconds. A typically example of when the car makes the sound would be when I approach a stop sign. After I come to a stop and then accelerate, as the rpms go above 2,000 and then come back down under 2,000 I hear the noise. Any suggestions?

The weather has been on the cold side (live in the great lakes region). I look forward to hearing some feedback! Thanks,

Do you change your own oil, or take it to Jiffy lube? The reason I ask is there is a technical service bulletin that talks about engine knock problems from using non-Hyundai oil filters. You might have this problem, as you say it's really cold, the oil is thick. Beyond that, I couldn't find any information.

Thank you for the informative answer. I do not change my own oil, I take the walmart route - have the oil changed while i'm shopping at the super center.
