Is a 2008 Santa Fe for $13,500 a great deal?

My father has a 2008 Santa Fe SE FWD model with sunroof that he will sell me for $13,500. It has 49,000 miles and nothing other than oil changes and the TPS sensor have been done to it. Is this a great deal that I should jump on? I'm only hesitant because we don't really need to replace at this time and our current Montero Sport is AWD. I live near Chicago and we don't get a ton of snow and what we get is usually cleared in a day. So AWD is not totally needed but can be nice to have. Not sure if going to a FWD is going to be a big letdown. Does the traction control help get it moving in snow or just keep it from spinning out of control?

Without knowing the trim level, engine, transmission, etc, it's hard to guess on the price. I don't know if it's a great price put I don't think it's a bad one either.

As for AWD vs FWD; I live in PA and get plenty of snow. My FWD Tucson has never given me a problem in the snow. The past few years I've had snow tires but for the first few years I just drove on good all-season tires.

I'd take FWD and snow tires over AWD and all-season tires any winter.

It is an SE. It has the 3.3 6 speed automatic. It has the trailer tow prep package, sunroof and some kind of bluetooth setup in the headliner as options.
