2008 Santa Fe - XM antenna plug
I've got a 2008 Santa Fe with the standard, AM/FM/XM/CD radio.
I am replacing the unit with a new Sony unit and had also hoped to install a new SiriusXM tuner as well.
I was told, on another site, that the factory antenna cable terminated in a split with one plug for AM/FM and another plug with the standard XM "F" connector. Upon pulling the factory headunit, I saw that there is only a single, antenna plug that feeds a single antenna port, on the factory unit. Is there, contrary to other information I received, a separate XM tuner (outside the actual head unit) somewhere in the Santa Fe?
I really did not want to use the magnetic antenna that comes with the SiriusXM tuner, hoping to make use of the existing factory antenna.
Does anyone know of any adapter available to split the feed from the factory cable?
