30k Service

Hi everyone. I am new to this site but have a question. I have a 2008 Santa Fe that I just had in to the dealer for a brake service. While there, they suggested I have the 30k service done. I have been doin the oil changes all along, but they are telling me the car needs a coolant flush and auto transmission service. I checked the maintenance log and it does say the transmission needs done at 30k for severe driving, but it clearly states at the bottom that the coolant needs done at 60k and every 30k thereafter. I called the dealer and they said the "letter of the law is the maintenance log", but they recommend doing the coolant at 30k as well. I'll be taking care of the rest of the 30k items myself.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Do it. The majority of cars on the road today drive under what is considered "severe" service. I've always done the trans fluid and coolant every 30k miles.

Industy std for coolant service has held the "every couple yr" rule and 30,000 being a general guide.

Coolant changes properties (PH) to where it will become a conductor and allow for corrosion, seems there is a test where you can test the coolant in the system for voltage made or conducted..

Clean coolant in the system will keep problems for arising from inside to outside..

30 here, we do oil, coolant, air filter, HVAC filter, balance/rotate, visual inspection of vehiclle.

we do ATF at 60 here, along with timing belt-drive belts, last dealer I was at got ATF at 30 intervals.
