Best tires for an '04 Santa Fe?
Hi all,
I'm coming up on 70,000 miles with my stock tires, so it will soon be time to get them replaced. I'm wonder what would be the best tires for a 2004 Santa Fe LX, 3.5L engine? I'm looking for tires that are quiet, offer good MPG, and all weather. I can afford to pay a premium if need be. Thanks for any suggestions! :D |
Seeing your stock tires lasted 70,000 miles I would replace them with
the same tire. I had about 72,000 on my original BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A's. I replaced them with the same tire, although it's now called BF Goodrich Long Trail Tour I believe. If you hated the original tires for some reason then the advice I gave doesn't really help :D. John |
Normally I would have but I couldn't STAND the noise. Because I'm hearing impaired and wear hearing aids, having a quiet ride is crucial so it's possible to have an actual conversation with other passengers in the car.
I've done some research and am thinking of either the Kumho Solus KR21, the General Grabber HTS, or the Michelin LTX M/S2. The Michelin is the most expensive, but considering I am an extensive traveler it might be the best investment. The Grabber got superior marks on consumer tests except for treadwear, but the comfort and quiet of the Michelin seems to be superior. If I get it now I'll get a $70 rebate too. :D |
