A/C not working - Evap core
A/C stopped working a few months ago on my 2003 Santa Fe.
Took it to the dealer and they want $1250 to replace the Evaporator Core. They are quoting me $220 for the parts and ~$1000. From what I gathered, it's a lot of hours to take off the dash board. How easy is this? Any special tools? Any writeups? Thanks! |
Why have the dealer do it when they charge so much more? I had an entire a/c system redone with new compressor, evap, dryer, hoses and all for less than that. Call around to other shops that will work on asian imports, but I suggest having them use oem Hyundai parts for the job, most shops will if you ask them to. Make sure the shop will give a warranty on their work.
