car having problem accelerating. Need a few tips..

(2003 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.7L 4WD 166K miles) Car having a hard time accelerating. It will move all right, but very slowly esp. uphill. arrg. RPM increases very slowly. So far, I've checked:

1. Sparks Plugs (Replaced). Old ones looks slightly white, so running lean?

2. air filter. Looks good

3. Tranny fluid. Looks good and red

4. spark plug wires/coil or whatever you call it. Looks good. no cracks

5. Fresh gasoline. Added fuel injector cleaners and such

6. Mass air flow sensor. Looks good.

I'm going to check:

1. Fuel pump
2. fuel filter
3. fuel injectors (not sure how i would determine if injectors are clogged)
4. catalytic converter/muffler and muffler pipe (could be clogged?)

Anything else to check for? I'm thinking it's got something to do with the fuel delivery since my plugs look a bit white. No error codes when I checked. idle is normal like always.

I really hope it's not the torque converter... arrrggg.. $700+ to replace.

checked fuel pressure and it was around 47psi which seems normal. With engine running, the pressure dropped about 7-10 psi which also seems normal. Unplugged hose connected to pressure regulator and pressure went back up to 47psi which is normal? i think it is suppose to do this. Someone correct me.

-Fuel pump is still good, but what about when at higher RPM? Fuel pump may not provide enough pressure. Need to hook up a fuel pressure gauge pod to check this.

- Still have to check fuel filter.

- Still have to check the cat converters.

arrrgggg..
