Changing Spark Plugs
I have read the posts on how to change the back 3 plugs on my 2.7L but none of the posts refer to needed replacement parts. Aside from plugs what gasket or other parts will i need to replace?

nothing really, just changed my wifes 2.7l the gasket for the intake is a good heavy duty one, shouldnt have any probelms

I suggest that anytime you take something apart that has a gasket
you replace the gasket with a new one. Also, remember to put a little bit of anti-seize on the plug threads. Not too much though. John |
Plugs (OE is NGK Platinum)... upgrade be NGK IRIDIUM...
Plug wire set,,, you be mad if you end up with misfire next week from moving them aged wires around.. Plenum gasket.. just because, it is expendable part. |
One more thing...patience. The savings by doing it yourself will
be worth it though. John |
Thanks
Thanks to all those who responded to my query. I changed out the plugs last Satuday with the help of a friend. Plugs, wires and new gasket. Infact did mine and my daughters one after the other. All worked out well. My dealer quoted me $550 each car. Parts cost me about $125 for each car so HUGE savings.
