computer ?
 

i'm working on a friend's 02. his check engine light kept coming on and the guy at jiffy lube said it was part of the emissions, some small rubber tube needed to be replaced. the tech taped it up in the meantime and then supposedly unplugged the computer so my friend wouldn't have to stare at the check engine light. well now my friend wants it plugged back in, but i can't find it. i look around the fuse box underneath the steering wheel and couldn't find anything unplugged. am i looking in the right area?

Check the bulb itself. I'm pretty sure that's the only way to "unplug it". If you unplugged the whole computer, the car wouldn't run.
