dash warning lights

Had to take in my 2007 Santa Fe to the shop tonight. Yesterday when I started the Santa Fe, the ESC and the ABS lights came on. The all wheel chassis light started flashing. I took out the ESC fuses, a 40 and a 10 amp from under the hood, and they were fine. Restarted, still have lights. On the way home from work, the Check Engine light came on.

This morning we had a bit of snow, so I checked the ABS, and they worked. Oddly enough the cruise control did not work. I wonder if they are somehow tied to the ESC?

Should find out what the problem is by tomorrow. Will update this post.

Brake light switch probably:

Or the wheel speed sensor:

Right on both counts. I pick it up tomorrow after they change the oil. $300.

Thanks,

Daniel

You were lucky.... $300... Our 2010 Santy showed the same problems.
But we only had the speed sensor replaced at a WOPPING $437.00 !!!!
Warranty is over due to mileage. Time to think of taking it to somewhere
other than the dealers. Not too happy. No oil change !

The brake switch had a short and the speed sensors needed to be replaced. Had oil changed and tires rotated for $345.

Fortunately, I have a dealership that has never disappointed me or tried to take advantage, and let me tell you there have been dealerships in the past that have, and I never returned.
