2006 Santa Fe Code Help
Hello to all.
My check engine light came on several weeks ago. I finally had the money to have the codes read. The codes that showed up was: P0151 and P0154
which I believe to be an oxygen sensor.
I called the local dealer, service said it would cost $350
I don't have this kind of money. I lost my job 6 months ago.
If anyone can give me some help, I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to try to change this myself.
2006 Santa Fe 3.5L 6 cylinder
Thanks

Yeah, both codes point to the Bank 2 Sensor 1. That's the easiest sensor to get to. It the sensor before the converter on the radiator side of the engine.
Bank 1 is always the side of the engine with cylinder #1.
Bank 2 is always the side of the engine with cylinder #2.
Bank 1 is the bank of cylinders on the firewall side.
Bank 2 is the bank of cylinders on the radiator side.

Bank 1 is the bank of cylinders on the firewall side.
Bank 2 is the bank of cylinders on the radiator side.

Thanks NovaResource, Much appreciated.
Is that the sensor located below the plastic engine cover, almost dead center, if I'm standing in front of the vehicle looking down, and the driver's side is to my right ?
Would you happen to have a part number.
I've been doing more research since I posted this. It seems like this vehicle has a total of 4 sensors. I believe that one is called the "upstream" O2 sensor. It seems like there's 2 "Upstream", and 2 "downstream" O2 sensors ( one downstream Left, and one downstream Right )
Please let me know.
Thanks again.
