Engine knock at idle????

I have a 2001 sf with 82,000 miles on it. Always run Hyundai filter and Mobile-1 10W30 oil. The vehicle has had a slight knocking or diesel sound at idle for a while now. They say not to worry about it but I am nearing the end of the warrenty and wanted to get some opinions. The sound is faint and can't be heard inside the car. The engine runs very smooth and there are no other issues. When walking by the front of the car, it sounds a little like a diesel but ONLY after it has warmed up. I thought it may be the timing belt slapping the housing and had that replaced. It dod not help. It seems to be comming from the driver's side of the engine but it is hard to tell.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I concur with the cam. I'd start cheap just to see if anything else helps first if your dealer tells you everything is fine. I'd throw in some platinum spark plugs and/or a tank of 89 or even 91 octane gas to see if that helps. Running 2 or 3 fuel injector cleaners on a full tank of fuel might help a bit, but will cost a few bucks.

I'm used to engines knocking/pinging and burning oil at all speeds - I currently own two Dodge products lol.
Lucky me.
