Fuel Filter & Fuel Tank Air Filter
Can anyone tell me the replacement steps for the fuel filter and fuel tank air filter for a 2008 Santa Fe AWD 3.3L? Thank you.

And ... their locations?

The fuel filter is in the tank attached to the fuel pump. The air filter is attached to the charcoal tank.

Fuel Filter & Fuel Tank Air Filter
I called a couple auto part stores for the part and it appears it is a "non-serviceable" dealer-only item. I contacted the dealer and they do not recommend changing it unless it is bad. It appears that Hyundai shouldn't list the part in its service schedule.
Thank you, I appreciate the timely response. |
My original reply said don't worry about either 'till 100K miles but I changed my reply after checking the 2008 SF owners manual and seeing that it said replace at 60k. I think that's just Hyundai corp being cautious. I agree with the dealer, if there is no problem, don't touch them.
