help with locking unlocking my santa fe
 
i have remote locking on my 2001 santa fe and the blinkers dont flash is there a way to turn this on i want it to flash so i know its locked and i havnt got a log book thanks

The lights don't flash for the lock, they flash for the alarm. Pressing the button on the remote does 2 things, locks the doors and arms the alarm. If you press the button and only the doors lock, then the alarm is not setting for some reason. Probably the rear hatch, one of the doors or the hood is not closed all the way. There are sensors on each door, hood and rear hatch. First makes sure all are fully closed. If they are then check the sensors themselves.

Is the key fob aftermarket or stock? Do they flash at all? If you press the lock button twice does the alarm sound? (provided this santa fe is equipped with an alarm)

it is suppose to have an alarm cause there standard on santa fe, and i have the doors shut, i bought the car in november 2008 second hand used so i dont know if the remotes are standard is there a way in the log book to turn this on via remotes cause i havnt got a log book please help it drives me crazy. and its un locking and locking that they dont work.

I'm asking because no, there is no way too "turn the lights on". You have a problem with the alarm system somewhere.
