Default Please Help !! Maybe MAF Sensor??

I have a 02 Santa Fe, with a 2.7 v-6. It is great. Last week, I needed to run to the store, and it did not want to accelerate, or shift out fo first gear. It was like it was stumbeling. I shifted the gear selector to first, and manually shifted into second and it picked up speed, and moved on, and even into third. It acted like this 2 or 3 times this trip. I cane home. Parked it, went under the hood, looked at all I could, saw nothing that looked wrong, no lights on the dash, nothing. Started it and it drove perfectly. I drive 60 miles one way to work every day. Please someone give me some opinions here. Oh went to Auto Zone, no codes stored. Was this a fluke? Is the MAF getting ready to dump?
Help me Mr. Wizard.

Yes sir trans serviced about 8,000 miles ago, Mileage is 105,000. It seemed to totally be electric in nature, when you put it in netural and reved the engine, while it was acting up it would not hit 2,000 rpm. When it cleared up, it does fine. In netural sitting still, pulling away from a stop. Very Perplexing

what did you find out? and why do you think the maf is failing? sounds like motor will not rev so you cannot accelerate enough to shift from 1-2-3. could be many things. maf, map, tps, or cam sensor or crank sensor. lots of inputs can fail and the computer will not allow the motor to rev as usual.
