Lots of white smoke
 

I own a Hyundai santa fe 2008 model, i bought it new and have never had problems with the car since 8 years until now.
last month i had to change the alternator after the car refuse to start, and now lots of white spoke is coming out. Before the smoke, i was seeing lots of black oil drop from below the car around the engine area.
I took the car to the mechanic few days ago after all the excesive smoke and they discovered that the alternator was not properly fixed by the first mechanic and there was lickage, so they tightened all the knots and cleaned the engine of all the oil spills hoping that will stop the smoke.
Unfortunately the white smoke is stronger and not not sure what the issue might be and how to fix the problem.


Could this be the end of my car?

Sounds like the new alternator is fried and the oil leak needs to be fixed.

The oil leak from the alternator has been fixed, but the car is still smoking.

Check coolant level,if goes down and white smoke goes from the exhaust pipe,your problem may be leaking head gasket.
