low voltage at fuel pump

2004 santa fe needed a jump and now wont start. No fuel. Checked fuel pump and only have 4.85 volts at fuel pump. Relays switched and all fuses checked. tomorrow I will jump the fuel pump direct from battery. Any ideas why low voltage at pump? 2004 3.5L

Seems like the fuel pump is shorted.
Did you spray starting fluid into the intake to see if it will run?
If it dos run then it is clearly a fuel issue.
Low voltage at fuel pump could be a short in pump or short in wiring before the pump
Check fuses and relays.

Good luck

Did the starting fluid and it runs. checked ALL fuses. Too cold today to hot wire pump. Will get back when I do this.

Do you know how to do a fuel relay by pass test?
If you do then you can check the fuel pump circuit.

If not then don't attempt it. If don't do it right then you can blow the ECU
And that would cost lots of money to fix.
I won't tell you to how. Just that if you have the skill set to do it??

Well anyway, putting power to the pump is one way to find out if it is working
Sometimes kicking the fuel tank will motivate the pump to start working one last time??

Just got back to testing things. Jumped fuel pump it works. Jumped relay and have power to pump and it runs. How can I test ECU to see if it's powering the relay or is it a dealer thing?

Not solved but it's running, put it all back together and tried it and it ran. Probably a corroded connection. Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post.

Don't know what happened but glad it is working.
If it happens again then must check it thoroughly

Good luck.
