Default lower control arm nightmare

So I am replacing the LH lower control arm on my 2002 Santa Fe.

Should be easy. 4 bolts, out, in, done.

Except whatever Hyundai put inside the chassis as a nut started turning 1/2 way through removing one of the front bushing bolts! I can't tighten. I can't loosen. I envision cutting open the chassis, grabbing whatever they have inside, remove/replace and weld a patch over the hole. Not very elegant, so I need to ask, does anyone out there know a "trick" to avoid the surgery described!

Hellova a day to quit drinking!

Tks
