New 2023 Santa Fe XRT auto on/off Problem-Concern

We just bought a new 2023 Santa Fe XRT for the wife. She is getting use to the push button drive control and start button. She went to the store today and was in there for 30 mins or more. She hit the park button but forgot to turn off the car through the start button. She brought her key fob with her and thought she locked the door. After she finished shopping she went out to the SUV and the car was still running and the doors where unlocked. NOT GOOD. I doubt she will do that again but I would think that once she got away from the car at a certain distance and time frame the car should of turned itself off and locked the doors. In this case it did not. I called the dealer and they said it should after 15 mins of running but in our case it did not. Perhaps the person at dealership did not know what she was talking about and just threw that out there but IDK. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I did set up the BlueLink which I know will warn you but in her case if her phone is in her purse that wont do a lot of good.
