rse and audio problems on 2007 santa fe
Hello and thanks for the help. I have 2 huge problems with my 2007 santa fe touring and ultimate. I have the 605 watt infinity sound system but do not have xm.
Problem 1: When i listen to the radio (or cd player) at low volume levels (anything below 15) I hear a high pitched tone that is almost as loud as the radio itself. This tone is not present when i use the radio when the car is off. So i am annoyed and do not use my radio.
Problem 2: When i put a dvd in the rear seat entertainment system it starts to play the previews just fine. Then about half way into the preview it will flip over to the radio which is much louder and that is really horrible. I have to push the rse button to get it to go back to dvd.
Both of these problems have been acknowledged by the service manager after my car being at the dealership for 2 weeks. Has anyone else had this problem. Does anyone have a contact # for infinity. The audio and dvd have allready been replaced in the car.
thanks

Some possibility and suggestions
- Problem number 1 sounds like an electrical grounding problem. Does the tone coincide/rise and fall with engine rpm's, or is it just steady? Either way, I'd take it to a local car audio installer, you know the ones that install the mega bass systems etc... Those guys actually know their stuff. At most you will have to pay an installation fee of which you may want to negatiate to have Hyundai reimburse you.
- Also there is the possibility that the speaker wires have been connected to the wrong polarity on the speakers.
- This may be an electrical problem common to both the head unit and DVD player or just plain bad wiring.

The condition is NOT an electrical condition this logics of the DVD module. I have checked couple of Santa FE (CM)someplay through previews and the other don’t. The RSE went reflashed at the ports go right to the movie
Normal condition !!!!!!
Normal condition !!!!!!
I have a 2007 Sante Fe Limited that has the same problem with the radio and a high pitch noise coming from it. Very annoying. I'm waiting until I have to go in for an oil change at the dealer and have them address it.
