Santa fe rides like a truck
SANTA FE ROUGH RIDE
Your telling me ,,, \I bought a santa fe brand new and sold it after one week it nearly jolted the life out of me rode like a tip truck YUK |
Never expirienced this with my new 2017.
I have been driving either a minivan or half ton and three quarter ton trucks for the last several years, The Santa Fe is better than all above. Maybe moving from a sedan to sport utility makes it seem bad? I absolutely love mine. I did drive a Dodge Durango that was smoother softer than my Santa Fe. It was like sitting on a waterbed and not in a good way for me. |
I have a 2017 Santa Fe Ultimate Limited and mine rides VERY ROUGH. I was told that changing from the stock Kumho tires to the Michelin Premium LTX would make a very big difference. Anyone have any experience with this tire?
|
2018 2.0T Ultimate AWD. Factory tires are horrendous. Changed them out about 1,000 miles in and the ride improved tremendously. Even with that change, my Santa Fe still rides rough, but no where near how my full-size truck does.
|
WOW: I am leasing a 2017 Lexus-350 and was going to sell it and considered buying a 2018 Santa Fe.
Maybe i should re think this after taking a test drive. |

I must have owned a lot a crappy cars since 1966....my new 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is one of the nicest riding vehicles I've ever owned. Compared to my '71 Corvette and my 2001 Mercedes SLK, the SFS is like riding on a cloud.

I am new to this site posting for the first time from the US. I'm hoping to pick up information regarding the new 2019 Santa Fe SEL model. I am very anxious to purchase a new SEL very soon.
I have watched many videos on the net and did test drive one. Some reviewers complain about the poor gas mileage, I want the 2.4 base engine with FWD does anyone on this site own one and can maybe give their opinion as to gas mileage they get ? Plus any pros or cons since buying ? Thanks for any info. |

I want to thank you for the information, but I'm only interested in purchasing a new 2019 SEL I luv the new body style. I want the 2.4 non turbo engine, the 6cyl is no longer offered for 2019.

WOW ! ....Did not know, not happy about that but will not stop me from buying one.
That penny pinching thinking might cost Hyundai $ales...…. |
[They are also not putting a CD player in the 2019 Santa Fe.
I went on the net to verify....several car makers are doing the same. The dash mounted screen is the reason, so they claim. My 2003 Kia Sportage had both a CD and Cassette player from the factory... We'll never see those features again. |

Losing the 3.3 engine in 2019 I think is a mistake. There are Santa Fes that are turning up with 300,000 miles on them. As noted, our '09 did OK towing a 3.000 lb camper over 7000 miles or so, never overheated in the desert while towing with the AC on, never leaked any fluids and is still in very good condition. The '20 heavy SUV (Pallasade?) that Hyundai will be rolling out is rumored to be powered by a turbocharged 3.3. IMHO the 3rd generation Santa Fes with the 3.3 engine are going to be the best Santa Fes.

I don't think that's the real reason. Our 2017 Santa Fe Limited Ultimate has an 8" dash mounted nav screen and a CD player. I think the 2018s also have the nav screen and a CD player. The 2018s are the end of the 3rd generation of Santa Fes, the 2019s are the beginning of the 4th generation.

Got a great price of $26,000 even.. not incl. tax. Hard to pass up that price, now to decide on the color? I hope that they give me a good trade in price on my Silver 2013 Ford Escape SE 1.6 Turbo "in mint cond." with only 39,000 miles a X-lent driver. Have added almost $1,000. in extras since new to dress it up. Always garage kept and waxed 3 times a year. Sure hope I don't regret selling it ! |

I bought a 2019 SEL FWD 2.4 three weeks ago.. $26,000 plus tax. I'm super happy with the Santa Fe overall. It rides and drives just fine and quiet too. My average fuel mileage overall is 32 to 35 mpg. without a lead foot on the gas pedal. The included features on the SEL are outstanding for the price.

I would say you did a great job negotiating!
Wanted to buy the S-F $26,000 cash but then I would have to sell my Ford within 30 days to get the tax break on the new car. I've found selling private party was always best if possible to do. But it's a risk to do fast...……….. |
