Sante fe 2008 in montreal,qc with major problems
Hi
i love this vehicle and wanna buy one, had a vehicle inspected today,
steering wheel rack > needs to be replaced
engine oil leak from valve cover
alternator at 300 amps
oil pan, showing moisture possibly needs replacement
is this common on all sante fe or is this car just a lemon ?
Hyundai sante fe 2008 gl v6 3.3 fwd with 68000 km.
Is the awd better then fwd ? Can i have 10 honest people to buy a sante fe or not plz.
I hope to hear sum feedback,
thx

Hi,
I'm in Newfoundland and Labrador. In my business we've owned a Sante Fe for about 9 years. We traded the first two when they dit 100kms. The first wouldn't start one morning and had to be towed to the dealer. When it got there it started and the problem was never identified, not did it ever occur again. Other than that one incident we had NO MAINTAINANCE other than scheduled maintainance (and you want to make sure the maintainance records are complete). Now in contrast I purchased a 2009 GLX myself and its in the garage for a lower control arm issue this morning at 55000kms. In addition it had $800 brake work at 44000 kms and has had two front wheel bearings replaced on warranty. Add in replacing the quick release cable to the gas tank and some sensor in the ignition system that stopped working with the electroni key. So my personal Sante Fe has had more issues in 55000kms than our three office ones, two of which we ran for 100,000kms trouble free. While I consider the amount of front end work odd, none of this work was major.
Now while that might sound bad I can tell you I own a new Honda Odyssey and have had three previous. My first 3 Odysseys spent far, far more time in the garage than has my Sante Fe.
