Should I Buy? 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0T
Hi Everyone,
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, I am new! I am considering purchasing a gently used 2015 Santa Fe Sport with a turbo and the ultimate package (blind spot detection, parking assist, pano sunroof, premium sound system, etc.) with 27,000 miles for $24,500. It is a single owner with mostly highway miles. It will be a joint vehicle for my husband and I, and we plan to keep it at least 7 years. The problem is it isn't certified, so we don't get the 10yr/100,000mile power train warranty.
It has 24 months/33,000 miles left on the basic Hyundai warranty. Is it worth purchasing an after market exclusionary warranty that includes wear and tear, and buying the car? Or should we walk away?
Any and all advice appreciated, thanks!

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. I purchased a 2006 Tucson that was less than 2 years old and had 18,000 miles on it. It wasn't certified and I only got the remainder of the 5y/60k mile warranty. 8.5 years later it has 107,000 miles and is still going strong. If you maintain it properly, you should have no worries.
