thinking of getting 2007+ santa fe..need info/advice

Hi everyone, this is my first post here. We are looking around for a second car and came across a few 2007 santa fe's....i don't know much about them but have read good things about them. I know that they come in 2 engine sizes and i'm convincing my wife to go with the bigger 3.3L engine. Now, the question is, how reliable is the engine/tranny?
also, we have cold, snowy winters..is the awd that much better? price wise i can probably get the awd at the same price as the FWD, but i know it'll be a bit more $$$ on repairs and gas...any thoughts? If i do take the fwd model with reallllly good winter tires..will i be okay? thanks

The 3.3L Theta engine is very good.

As far as AWD vs FWD, personally, I'd rather have FWD with 4 snow tires than AWD with all-sesons tires. Buying an extra set of wheels and 4 snow tires for the winter is cheaper than the price of AWD and the added cost in lower fuel economy, in my opinion.
