Santa Fe tow vehicle?

I have a 18ft aluminum boat, 115 outboard and trailer.
I currently have a F150 for a tow vehicle. I estimate this @ 2500Lbs
Wife and I just bought a 2017 Santa Fe sport 2.4l AWD we absolutely love it.
I realize this vehicle is only rated for 2000LBs towing.
My question with the ever rising prices of pickup trucks.
Would the Santa Fe LE with the 3.3l be a good tow vehicle and a suitable replacement for a truck based vehicle. I figure for a bed to haul a utility trailer would replace the truck bed.
Anyone tow with the Santa Fe or better yet replaced a truck with one? The Santa Cruz I will look at if Hyundai builds it , but as I have read Hyundai is not making towing a priority with the Santa Cruz. The full size Santa Fe is the Tow king @ a 5000Lb rating.
I don`t see continuing with a pickup going forward with fuel cost and purchase price. Been thinking.
