Default TPMS Scanner

I have an 07 Santa Fe. On the dashboard I have two status lights, one is the warning light (exclamation point) and TPMS malfunction light. Both the right side front and rear status lights are lit up on the dashboard.

I understand there is a scanner that I can buy to check to see if a sensor in the tire is there or not. Obviously, I can have someone remove the tires to check but I thought I could buy something to tell me without removing tires. Of course, the tires would have to come off if the sensor is not there or broken in order to fix the issue.

Can someone recommend a scanner and would it be useful?

It would be helpful if you had constant problems with the TPMS system, otherwise leave the checking to a qualified shop.
