Dead battery ? Good clean ground connect...

Probe solenoid wire for source voltage when key turned to "start" position --> bum solenoid/starter.. not very often, but maybe see 1 every other yr.

My tib has erratic starting (meaning if I hit the clutch pedal a time or two it would 'catch') Battery is new, ground wire has continuity.
Did you mean bum terminal wire going to starter or bum starter solenoid?
I am trying to check that now, because it wont start at all now.

Check the switch on the clutch that doesn't allows the starter to run unless the clutch is in.

Thank you. I checked the continunity previously and it registered but I then took the switch totally apart and filed down any rough parts on the copper and she works like a charm now! Again, thanx!
