01 Sonata won't reverse
 

My son's 01 Sonata will not go in reverse. All other gears work fine (auto trans). It will reverse when engine is cold, but with squeal. Will not reverse at all when engine is hot. Fluid checks fine. Any suggestions? Holiday weekend so have been unable to see a mechanic yet.
