Ok... confession. Rather, a mea culpa to those who burned brain-calories offering me t'shooting advice with this problem...
a'hem... Turns out there are zero issues with Sonata's windows. The "one-touch operation" feature works perfectly. I know this because ten minutes ago I checked the window switches myself. e'yup... ten minutes prior to sending this message. <plaintive sigh> I recently bought this car for my teenage daughter. She brought to my attention the window problem as part of a list of other, similarly minor issues (one concerning exception: transmission judder at rolling idle). Her mother allegedly confirmed the problem as well. I broke a cardinal rule of investigating problem reports: confirm firsthand the problem exists as reported. As a professional troubleshooter, I know better; I neglected to verify that the Sonata window switches behaved as these females claimed. (I mean, c'mon... who doesn't know how to operate a car window..?) Thanks to each of you for your excellent t'shooting suggestions. I'm certain I'll post again regarding some other vexation. |
