07 sonata bumper cover replacement
 

Shop quoted ~$800 to replace rear bumper cover with new one. Can I do this myself? Anyone have diagram and steps?

Do you remove the bumper in the order described in the diagram and reinstall the same way? Or, can you just remove #5?

Maybe you should just pay the $800.

Since you only want to remove the bumper cover that is all you would have to take off. Based on the diagram it appears that two clips at the top on either side would require removal of the tail lights to be exposed. Doesn't look too difficult though, two screws and a bunch of clips. Keep in mind that those clips don't always work too well when being reinstalled. Depends on their age and condition and how careful you are removing them.
