08 Sonata AM radio problem
 

I have had problems with my stock radio on AM with intermittent cut out and static noise. Earlier in the year it seemed that sometimes turning it off and on fixed it, but lately not. I just upgraded the unit to a JVC unit and then realized I am still having the same issue with AM. FM and satellite radio worked fine with original unit and FM works fine with the new unit.
Anyone had similar problems?

FM, but no AM radio

Try removing the tape from the tongue that radio sits on. Or run a extra small ground cable from unit to ground. I have delt with this issue many times over the years and this procedure works
