Default 1998 v6 central locking plus not working

Hi. Just grabbed a dunger to get from A to B. It goes which is all I really need but has a few issues
Wiring seems messed up.
Last owner said there had been a problem with ignition and the car over revving and a isolator was put in which solved the problem. (Her words..) Not sure if this was done by auto lecky or backyard mechanic
Central locking with key not working on all doors.
Auto lock goes on but only locks drivers door. Turning off Auto lock doesnt unlock drivers door
Dash clock resetting to 1.00 everytime ignition turns on.
Climate control comes on full blast with A/C on at 25 degreea celcius everytime ignition turns on
Radio has been removed. Does not have wiring harness, just individual wires.
No aerial plug either.

I would provide photos but phone lens broken.

I have a central locking remote unit that I put into my last car but not sure if it will work without fixing central lock problem first. And not sure if central locking issue is related to other issues with wiring.

It sounds like you picked up a real GEM. That someone with limited electrical knowledge left a trail.
To do this right would require a schematic diagram to straighten at all out. It could "maybe " be done if an experienced shop/person had the time and equip to correct the problems. To an experienced person it wouldn't be too bad, but will still take some time to find and correct what was butchered.
Wish I could offer more encouraging suggestions.
Good move to get another opinion from a few folks after they can take a look at what is there.

A good place to start would be if you could tell us the year, model, engine .
Hopefully the vehicle info sticker might still be on the driver's door pillar. That should provide things like; VIN, year built, codes for engine, trans etc. Will this be possible?

I would first check all the fuses in the dash.
Can be done fairly quickly with a test light
Clip to chassis ground.
Probe the test points on the fuse.
Usually one test point above each leg of fuse.
If only one side has power or lights up the test light then fuse is blown.
Both sides lights up then fuse is good.
If no side lights up then power not turned on to circuit.
Sometimes a key is needed.

Question does central locking work with the engine on?
