2001 - Location of obd port
 

Searched under dash, but am unable to find.

Any hints?

Under the dash by the steering column.

Is it behind the dashboard?

For those who may be searching for this answer:

As you face the front of the car, the obd port is in the upper right side corner under the steering wheel. It is almost completely behind the lower dashboard cover and can only be seen by shoving the accelerator with your head.

Plug in your scanner carefully, the port is not secured strongly.

For RHD (Australian) vehicles, the DLC is located to the right of the centre console area (and to the left of the steering column).
It is 'in the clear' though difficult to see attached (weakly) to the lower dashboard trim panel.

Don't get caught up (as I did) by thinking it was somewhere in the tangle of wiring near the fuse panel. It is on the other side of the steering column to that mess.
